St. Charles were the 55-46 winner over the Gwynn Park Yellowjackets when they last played one another back in January of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. St. Charles fell to Gwynn Park 54-50.
Despite the loss, St. Charles still got an impressive performance from Tajir Webster, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. The matchup was Webster's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Shamir Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
St. Charles' defeat ended a eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-3. As for Gwynn Park, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
St. Charles will be playing at home against Calvert at 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for Gwynn Park, they will face off against Friendship Tech Prep Academy at 3:20 p.m. on January 6, 2024.
