The Edwardsville Tigers won against Belleville West last week with 64 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. Edwardsville made easy work of the Lutheran North Crusaders and carried off a 64-34 win. That result was just more of the same for Edwardsville, who also won the last time these teams played (Jan. 28 of last year).
The victory -- their ninth in a row -- raised the Tigers' record to 22-1. Lutheran North's overall record fell to 7-8.
The Tigers will take on East St. Louis on Thursday. Edwardsville won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings. The Crusaders will be playing in front of their home fans against Vashon on Thursday. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 32 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close contest.
