Deubrook's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jace Vomacka, who scored 15 points. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jake Jorenby, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds.
Deubrook's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Chester, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Deubrook will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Baltic at 5:30 p.m. on December 30th. Baltic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Deubrook in South Dakota (Baltic is ranked 21st, while Deubrook is ranked 94th). Chester will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against St. Mary at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Mary is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
