The Edison Red Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Northwestern Bulls at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are still undefeated (Edison has nine wins , while Northwestern has six).
Northwestern's offense is going to have their work cut out for them on Wednesday: Edison hadn't allowed a single point the last three times they've hit the field. Edison blew past Jackson, posting a 42-0 victory. Considering the Red Raiders have won six matches by more than 27 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Rakyia Louis was her usual excellent self, throwing for 302 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt. Louis is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: she's passed for at least three every time she's taken the field this season. Malayisa David was another key player, picking up 102 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Another reason for the win was Edison's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In that department, Jennifer Burton was the leader with two. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in total tackles (eight). Poetry Auguste got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Northwestern over North Miami Beach in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Northwestern blew North Miami Beach out of the water with a 46-0 final score. The Bulls are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the fifth contest they've won by 20+ points this season.
A big part of Northwestern's win came down to the chemistry between Jade Yacinthe and her top target Terriyah Montgomery. Yacinthe picked up 57 receiving yards and one touchdown while Montgomery picked up 38 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Northwestern didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Alexie Nicolas led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by herself.
Edison's victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.1 points on average over those games. As for Northwestern, their record is now 6-0.
Everything went Edison's way against Northwestern in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, as Edison made off with a 33-12 win. Will Edison repeat their success, or does Northwestern have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
