Fans got a thrill when Gage Woodyard and Logan Woodyard connected against Centralia/Wetmore. The connection went for 52 yards, the longest such play in Twin Valley this season.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, the Panthers beat Valley Heights 54-6. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
The Mustangs' dynamic duo of Woodyard and Woodyard proved to be unstoppable against Larry Glatzak's team, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Woodyard threw for 60 yards and 1 touchdown and Woodyard had 54 yards receiving.
Wyatt Cordell provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Onaga lost to Northern Heights. He completed 4 passes for 48 yards and 1 touchdown and also ran for 157 yards. Cordell's favorite target this week was Michael Bliss, who caught 2 passes for 23 yards.
Washington County's Konner Penning and Cole Thompson have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Penning has thrown for 507 yards this season, while Thompson has 18 catches for 219 yards. Sam Steinlage from the Panthers leads the league in rushing with 659 yards.
A big matchup in Twin Valley this week will be when Valley Heights takes on Troy. Tony Trimble's team is in fourth place, while the Trojans are in second place.
The Tigers lost to Smith Center 57-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
