The Perry Hall Gators took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday (barely). They came out on top in a nail-biter against Patterson Mill and snuck past 49-46.
Patterson Mill's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kiley Wilhelm, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was sophia trinh, who scored 9 points along with 9 steals and 6 rebounds.
Perry Hall's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Patterson Mill, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Perry Hall will challenge Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Patterson Mill, they will head out on the road to face off against Elkton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
