The Mississinewa Indians and the Maconaquah Braves squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the Mississinewa Indians had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 50-49 to the Braves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Mississinewa of the 40-38 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Mississinewa lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaci Crick. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brooklynn Nash, who scored ten points along with two steals.
It was another big night for Miranda Stoll, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds for Maconaquah. Hallie Maiben was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Mississinewa's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Maconaquah, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Mississinewa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Maconaquah will take on the Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Norwell is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road.
