Softball Recap: Lavaca Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Lavaca won the last time they faced County Line and things went their way on Thursday too. The Golden Arrows blew past the Indians 18-6. The result was nothing new for the Golden Arrows, who have now won six matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Lavaca let Mayli Stockton and Kyla Force run wild. Stockton went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Force went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Stockton has posted since back in March of 2024. Kaitlyn Brewer also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Lavaca was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as County Line only posted a batting average of .267.

Lavaca pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for County Line, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8-1.

Coming up, Lavaca will be playing at home against Lamar at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for County Line, they will venture away from home to face off against Mulberry at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
