The St. James Sharks are taking a road trip to take on the Socastee Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
St. James will bounce into Monday's contest after beating North Myrtle Beach, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Sharks had just enough and edged out the Chiefs 5-4 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Sharks have posted since March 27th.

| 04/09/26 vs Spring Mills | 5 |
| 03/31/26 vs Conway | 7 |
Dylan Victoria spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Rome Derenzo, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.
Meanwhile, Socastee got themselves on the board against Conway on Friday, but Conway never followed suit. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Braves.
Conway's batters probably weren't too happy with Josh Keyser, who pitched a no hitter (he gave up zero walks). Keyser also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Socastee is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-11 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Jace Crowther was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jimmy Cocca, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
St. James' record is now 12-10. As for Socastee, their record now sits at 8-12.
St. James' speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's matchup. The Sharks have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Socastee, though, as they've been averaging only 0.9 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will St. James continue to outrun the ball?
St. James couldn't quite finish off Socastee in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 and fell 5-3. Can the Sharks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
