The Petoskey Northmen are taking a road trip to  face off against the Rogers City Hurons  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Petoskey is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3  runs per game  this season.

 Bre VerCautren put in work no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 VerCautren wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Addisynn Segraves, who  went 2-for-4 with one  run and one  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Rogers City waltzed into their matchup  on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Braves by a score of  6-3.
 Rogers City pushed their record up to 8-4 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Petoskey, their defeat dropped their record down to 26-7.
