The Drury Blue Devils will head out to challenge the Greenfield Green Wave at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Thursday, Drury got the win against Monument Mountain by a conclusive 12-2. The win continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won four in a row.

Brayden Durant and JJ Prenguber made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Durant tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Meanwhile, Prenguber tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Durant posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2025. At the plate, Durant went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Prenguber went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Connor Hinkell was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. Jake McAllister was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Greenfield won against Palmer on Wednesday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Green Wave never let Pioneer Valley Regional get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The game was the first time the Green Wave have beaten the Panthers on their field since April 17, 2019.
The win got Drury back to even at 1-1. As for Greenfield, their record is now 3-1.
Drury came out on top in a nail-biter against Greenfield when the teams last played back in May of 2025, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
