Mt. Mansfield faced Rice Memorial in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Mt. Mansfield weren't too far behind, but the team still lost 22-26 to Rice Memorial on Saturday. Mt. Mansfield was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rice Memorial apparently hadn't forgotten their loss from the last time the teams met up. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Mt. Mansfield off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Rice Memorial a 1-0 record.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week, Mt. Mansfield take on Bellows Free Academy at 7:00 PM. As for Rice Memorial, they will face off against Burlington/South Burlington.
