The Kosciusko Whippets will head out on the road to face off against the Amory Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Kosciusko's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
Last Thursday, Kosciusko didn't have too much trouble with Murrah at home as they won 43-26.
Jaquavous Pace and Caden Greer were among the main playmakers for Kosciusko as the former picked up 107 receiving yards and two touchdowns and the latter threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Javen Mallett was in the mix as well, providing Kosciusko with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Amory can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 27-6 margin over Shannon. Given Amory's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Shannon is ranked 103rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kosciusko's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.0 points per game. As for Amory, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
