Prairie got themselves on the board against Briggsdale on Thursday, but Briggsdale never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 17-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Dylan Chase, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Riar Holloway, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one RBI.

Prairie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Prairie has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Briggsdale, they dropped their record down to 3-7-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Prairie beat the Falcons by a score of 8-3 later that day.
