Edmondson-Westside walked away with a 69-62 victory over Carver Vo-Tech. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Edmondson-Westside also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Carver Vo-Tech lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kalial Colclough. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with 6 assists and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dorrian Sands, who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds.
Edmondson-Westside's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Carver Vo-Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edmondson-Westside will square off against Mergenthaler Vo-Tech at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carver Vo-Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against Concordia Prep at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Concordia Prep is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
