Last Monday, Trinity Christian Academy's game was all tied up 16-16 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 23-20 win over Covenant School of Jacksonville.
Trinity Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Taylor Rosan, who scored 4 points along with 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Fleming Island's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Creekside 68-30. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Fleming Island struggled afterwards.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ariana Pierce, who scored 5 points along with 8 rebounds. Pierce is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Victoria Noble, who scored 8 points.
Trinity Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Fleming Island, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
