Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cumberland). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Amelia County Raiders 78-42. The Dukes pushed the score to 66-35 by the end of the third, a deficit the Raiders had no chance of recovering from.

When it comes to explaining why Amelia County lost, don't look at TARON SPURLOCK. Despite the final result, he posted six points and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of KOLBIE HICKS, who earned four points.

Cumberland has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Amelia County, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Cumberland has already played their next contest, a 76-58 loss against Buckingham on the 25th. As for Amelia County, they will square off against Randolph-Henry at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Amelia County is facing Randolph-Henry at the right time seeing as Randolph-Henry is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
