The Fairless Falcons were the 53-44 winner over the Tuscarawas Valley Trojans when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Fairless took a 42-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Fairless can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 674th, while the Trojans are ranked 304th).
John Leffler continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tuscarawas Valley, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds. Cole Clements was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Fairless' loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Tuscarawas Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairless will take on the Red Riders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Orrville is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for Tuscarawas Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Braves at 7:30 p.m. Indian Valley will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
