The Wilmington Wildcats can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against Saugus by a score of 28-16. The victory was just what Wilmington needed coming off of a 42-0 defeat in their prior game.
Wilmington's victory bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Saugus, they bumped their record down to 5-5 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Wilmington will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tewksbury Memorial at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd. After each having a week off, Saugus and Peabody Veterans Memorial will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd. Peabody Veterans Memorial is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
