North Eugene and Thurston are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The North Eugene Highlanders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Thurston Colts at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in North Eugene's favor as the squad sits on 12 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Thurston has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
North Eugene scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took down Crater 83-64. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for India Mohiuddin, who scored 26 points along with five rebounds and five steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jonas Spencer, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds.
Even though Thurston has not done well against Churchill recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Thurston enjoyed a cozy 51-34 victory over Churchill.
North Eugene's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Thurston, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
