The Christian Heritage Academy Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Cristo Rey St. Martin 59-26. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Christian Heritage Academy of the 51-28 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Leading Cristo Rey St. Martin to victory were Alexy Chapa and Lilibeth Martinez. Chapa almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds, while Martinez scored 23 points along with eight rebounds. Chapa is crushing the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season.
Christian Heritage Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Cristo Rey St. Martin, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.
Christian Heritage Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cristo Rey St. Martin, they and Regina Dominican will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Cristo Rey St. Martin has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
