Westwood Christian breezed by Mater Brickell Academy on the road to the tune of 72-21. That 72-21 margin sets a new team best for Westwood Christian this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westwood Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Michael Vilmenay, who scored 21 points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Westwood Christian pushed their record up to 6-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for Mater Brickell Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Westwood Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Coral Reef at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Coral Reef will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 505th, while Westwood Christian is ranked 222nd). Mater Brickell Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Pinecrest Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
