The Marie Philip Galloping Ghosts can now show off 16 landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They blew past Ohio School for the Deaf 65-42. The score was close at the half, but Marie Philip pulled away in the second half with 41 points.
Xavier DeLeon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 13 steals. DeLeon is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least three every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremy Novas, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
The victory (which was Marie Philip's third in a row) raised their record to 20-7. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.7 points. As for Ohio School for the Deaf, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
Marie Philip does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ohio School for the Deaf, they will head out on the road to square off against Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ohio School for the Deaf is coming into the matchup with five straight losses on the road, meaning Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
