Baseball Recap: Skyline's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak at Home

There's no place like home for Skyline, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lancaster Tigers 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Raiders have posted since March 13, 2024.

HECTOR HERNANDEZ- RAMIREZ was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Manuel Del Toro, who scored a run while going 3-for-5.

Skyline's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 7-10. As for Lancaster, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skyline will face off against Mesquite at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mesquite's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Skyline's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lancaster, they will square off against Duncanville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
