St. Charles extended their losing streak to nine on Monday, dropping them down to 1-9. They lost 24-5 to the Northern Patriots. If St. Charles was looking for revenge after losing 14-0 to Northern when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
St. Charles saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Montgomery, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another was Deaveone Joseph, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
As for Northern, their record now sits at 11-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by ten runs or more this season.
On Northern's side, Natalie White made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 3.1 innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off only two hits. White has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Melody Russell was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played. Brooke MacAulay was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Looking ahead, St. Charles will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against La Plata at 4:30 p.m. St. Charles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Northern, they will head out to square off against Chopticon at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
