Stamford came tearing into Monday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Ludlowe Falcons with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Black Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.
While Stamford won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-16, 25-18.
John Thomas paced Stamford's offense, picking up 18 kills. Thomas got some help from Dominic Viruete and his 23 assists. Patrick Boryslavskyi controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Despite the loss, Ludlowe still got an impressive performance from Collin Peckham, who had nine digs and two aces.
