The Minisink Valley Warriors will face off against the O'Neill Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Minisink Valley has four straight victories, O'Neill has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Minisink Valley had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Washingtonville on Monday. The Warriors never let the Wizards get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. With that victory, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Gavin Brown was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Chris McCauley was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Will Burretto was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Minisink Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Washingtonville only posted an OBP of .348.
Meanwhile, O'Neill lost 13-1 to Port Jervis on Friday.
Minisink Valley's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for O'Neill, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Minisink Valley got the 'W' when the teams last played back in June of 2021 against O'Neill by a conclusive 13-0 score. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
