The Scott Eagles will face off against the Campbell County Camels at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Scott barely beat Cooper the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Jaguars on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their two-run performance the match before.
Trevor Pulsfort made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Jonas Foltz and Blake Groneck did most of the damage at the plate: Foltz went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Groneck went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those three RBI gave Foltz a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carson Bleha, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Scott kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, while Campbell County put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Pendleton County. The Camels blew past the Wildcats 7-0. The victory continues a trend for the Camels in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won five in a row.
Campbell County's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-9-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Scott, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Scott has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Campbell County struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Scott might still be hurting after the 20-5 defeat they got from Campbell County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
