Norview is 10-0 against Maury since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Norview Pilots will head out on the road to square off against the Maury Commodores at 5:30 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Norview can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 72-51 margin over Lake Taylor. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Norview has posted since December 15, 2023.
Even though Maury has not done well against Booker T. Washington recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Maury blew past Booker T. Washington 47-21. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Maury.
Maury's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nyla Brown, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Arianna Owens, who scored ten points.
Norview has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Maury, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Everything came up roses for Norview against Maury in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 74-32 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Norview since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
