The Westside Wolves came tearing into Tuesday's match with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Bellaire 61-42. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Westside also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
It was another big night for Neso Anisiobi, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Te?lynn Lee-rose, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Bellaire's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Westside will head out on the road to challenge Heights at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Heights is on a three-game streak of home wins, Westside a seven-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Bellaire will take on Westbury at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Westbury will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1371st, while Bellaire is ranked 503rd).
