In what's become a running theme this season, the Longmont Trojans gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Greeley Central 58-37. The win was just what Longmont needed coming off of a 52-21 defeat in their prior contest.
Leading Longmont to victory were Kaila Patterson and Savannah Pohl. Patterson went 7 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 2 assists, while Pohl scored ten points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Patterson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Stella Rulon, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Longmont pushed their record up to 7-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Greeley Central, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Longmont won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Northglenn at 1:00 p.m. on January 13th. Northglenn will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 214th, while Longmont is ranked 101st). Greeley Central won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Windsor at 11:30 a.m. on January 13th. Windsor will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
