The Tyrone Golden Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Penn Cambria Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Tyrone will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any points last Saturday, then bounced right back against Huntingdon on Friday. The Golden Eagles put the hurt on the Bearcats with a sharp 41-21 victory. With the Golden Eagles ahead 28-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

It was another big night for Caleb Whitby, who rushed for 200 yards and four touchdowns. Tyrone is undefeated when Whitby posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise. Eli Woomer was another key player, throwing for 200 yards and one TD on only 18 passes.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Tyrone was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 257 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Huntingdon only rushed for 156.
Tyrone didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Owen Oakes and Mason Emigh.
Meanwhile, Penn Cambria was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They were the clear victors by a 28-7 margin over Chestnut Ridge. The win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on four straight.
Penn Cambria's win came from a few key players Tyrone will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Blake Lilly, who picked up 80 receiving yards and one score. Another player making a difference was Brady Jones, who threw for 153 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 passes.
Penn Cambria's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Nate Mack, Maximus Watt, and Matthew Eckenrode, who each picked up one sack apiece. Corbin Vinglish was another major factor on D, making 13 total tackles (2.0 for loss) and snagged an interception.
Tyrone now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Penn Cambria, their record now sits at 6-1.
Tyrone suffered a grim 39-14 defeat to Penn Cambria in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Golden Eagles, Gavin Harrold (who picked up 146 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 48 yards and a pair of scores) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
