Baseball Recap: Austintown-Fitch's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Austintown-Fitch had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 9-14 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Ursuline Fighting Irish by a score of 5-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the Fighting Irish two weeks ago, they had to take a 6-3 loss.

As for Ursuline, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since April 9th.

For Ursuline's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marc DelliQuadri, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Coming up, Austintown-Fitch will take on GlenOak at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ursuline, they will host West Branch at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Fighting Irish are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
