Amherst came out on top against Rosholt on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Falcons blew past the Hornets 10-2. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Michael Glodowski and AJ O'Brien did most of the damage at the plate: Glodowski went 4-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while O'Brien went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those four hits gave Glodowski a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Beaudoin, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Amherst's victory bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Rosholt, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Amherst will venture away from home to square off against Weyauwega-Fremont at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Rosholt, they will take on Almond-Bancroft at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
