There's no place like home for Palmer Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks 56-13 on Friday. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 21 points or more this season.

Palmer Ridge's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Corinna Arellano, who posted nine points and five steals. Arellano is becoming a predictor of Palmer Ridge's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 10-1 (and 2-3 when she doesn't). Adelyn Mccormick was another key player, putting up seven points.

Palmer Ridge was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cheyenne Mountain only posted three assists.

Palmer Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Palmer Ridge has already played their next contest, a 54-31 win against Discovery Canyon on the 5th. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 40-24 loss against Lutheran on the 5th.
