AAAA Region 2 recap November 13, 2013
Veterans added to the longest winning streak in AAAA Region 2 this week by beating Baldwin, 38-20. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Warhawks.
Veterans led the league in scoring this week by notching 38 points on the Braves.
JaQuan Stinson provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Howard lost to Perry. Stinson's favorite target this week was Alphonso Stephens, who caught 3 passes for 24 yards.
Shakenneth Williams was the best receiver in the league this week as Rutland fell to Westside. Williams racked up 1 reception for 35 yards.
Rutland's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Hurricanes feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Timori Northcutt has thrown for 1,433 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while Williams has 33 catches for 808 yards.
The Seminoles made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,325 from 3,633. The advance stemmed from a 33-13 victory over the Hurricanes last week.
