Given Tippecanoe's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while Troy is ranked 532nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
When it comes to explaining why Troy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kiyah Baker. Despite the final result, she scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals. Simone Adekoya was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Tippecanoe is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Troy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

As for Troy, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Greenville at 11:45 a.m. Greenville comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
