Southwest SD won the last time they faced Mar Vista and things went their way on Friday too. The Southwest SD Raiders breezed past the Mar Vista Mariners to the tune of 91-45. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Southwest SD to victory were Noah Soltero and Khalid Deiranieh. Soltero posted 21 points, while Deiranieh earned 19 points. The matchup was Deiranieh's fifth in a row with at least 16 points. Shaun Verdida was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Despite the loss, Mar Vista still got an impressive performance from Jahaziel Catano, who put up 18 points. That was a full 40% of Mar Vista's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Omar Krenbeh, who scored ten points.

Southwest SD is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.9 points. As for Mar Vista, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

Southwest SD has already played their next match, a 76-35 win against Sweetwater on the 10th. As for Mar Vista, they will take on Bonita Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bonita Vista will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Mar Vista surely won't give up without a fight.
