Austin won the last time they faced Albertville and things went their way on Monday too. The Austin Black Bears came out on top in a nail-biter against the Albertville Aggies, sneaking past 3-1.

Paxton Branum spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jaxon Potter, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stole at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Austin is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Albertville and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Austin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 10-6 win against Hatton on the 25th. As for Albertville, they have also already played their next game, a 6-1 loss against Guntersville on the 25th.
