San Marcos Academy suffered a rough 87-62 loss at the hands of Eastside Early College on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Jakob Acosta was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 11 steals for Eastside Early College. That makes it six consecutive games in which Acosta has scored at least 25% of Eastside Early College's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja?Lyen Jones, who scored 23 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals.
San Marcos Academy now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Eastside Early College, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
San Marcos Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Stephen's Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th. As for Eastside Early College, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Travis at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
