The Mansfield Senior Tygers came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 62-27 victory over West Holmes at home. That 62-27 margin sets a new team best for Mansfield Senior this season.
Mansfield Senior can attribute much of their success to Karion Lindsay, who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyevi Roane, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Mansfield Senior's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for West Holmes, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mansfield Senior won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against South at 3:15 p.m. on December 30, 2023. South knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Mansfield Senior likes a good challenge. As for West Holmes, they will head out on the road to face off against Lexington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lexington will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
