In what's become a running theme this season, the Christ Church Episcopal Cavaliers gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Ware Shoals 56-19 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Christ Church Episcopal has posted since November 28, 2023.
It was another big night for Alexandria Bennon, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Christ Church Episcopal's points. Caroline Johnson was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four steals.
Ware Shoals lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Stella Eichorn, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. Eichorn is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played.
Christ Church Episcopal's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9. As for Ware Shoals, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Christ Church Episcopal will head out on the road to challenge Southside Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southside Christian is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games. As for Ware Shoals, Ware Shoals and Thornwell will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Thornwell is ranked 283rd, while Ware Shoals is ranked 270th).
