Ayersville is 0-3 against Tinora since May of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Pilots will take on the Rams at 5:00 p.m. Ayersville will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.
While Ayersville's win against Antwerp wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pilots' pitcher stepped up to hand the Archers a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday.

Kendra Waldron made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one double.
Waldron wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Allison Eldridge, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base. Eldridge is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
Meanwhile, Tinora beat Hicksville 8-3 on Tuesday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Aces recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Like Ayersville, Tinora also got a great game from a two-way player: Zoe Billings. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Billings was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Madison Spangler was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Trynity Koerber also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Ayersville's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Tinora, their record now sits at 6-9.
Tinora's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Ayersville has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Tinora, though, as they've been averaging 8.9 hits. Given Ayersville's sizable advantage in that area, the Rams will need to find a way to close that gap.
Ayersville couldn't quite finish off Tinora in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 3-1. Can the Pilots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
