1A-2 Region II District 8 recap Oct. 3, 2012
Perrin-Whitt moved up to 946 from 1,011 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 1A-2 Region II District 8. The Pirates climbed the ranks as a result of a 28-20 win over Santo.
Munday was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Holliday 49-7. The Moguls came in at 20 in the state poll after placing at number 30 last week.
Munday's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dee Paul threw for 29 and one touchdown and Tyrone Neskorik had 29 yards receiving. On the ground Paul chipped in 328 yards.
Munday's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Moguls feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Paul has thrown for 548 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while LJ Collier has eight catches for 189 yards. Paul also leads the league in rushing with 721 yards.
Patrick Corcoran's team extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Eagles, 49-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Moguls.
