Cary Academy extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Aidan Rousseau. The Cary Academy Chargers managed a 69-64 victory over the North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights on Tuesday thanks in part to Rousseau, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played.

Another player making a difference was Max Shearin, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in assists.

When it comes to explaining why North Raleigh Christian Academy lost, don't look at Brennen Jefferson. Despite the final result, he went 11 of 13 on his way to 23 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Herakovich, who posted nine points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists.

Cary Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.6 points per game. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they moved to 6-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cary Academy will host GRACE Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against New Life Camp at 7:00 p.m.
