The Wilmington Wildcats can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with a 46-33 win over Grant Park. The victory was just what Wilmington needed coming off of a 57-23 defeat in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wilmington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lexi Liaromatis, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Drown, who scored 15 points.
Wilmington's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Grant Park, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-13.
Wilmington will take on Streator at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Streator focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Saturday. As for Grant Park, they will head out on the road to face off against Donovan/St. Anne at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
