They took a 72-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Horizon Christian. Crosspointe Christian Academy has struggled against Horizon Christian recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Crosspointe Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Quinton Ford, who scored 24 points along with nine rebounds. The contest was Ford's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Coltenn Wagner, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Brayden Mathews was his usual excellent self, shooting 7-for-10 from deep and dropping a double-double on 29 points and 11 rebounds for Horizon Christian. Those 29 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Quinn Yoder, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Crosspointe Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Horizon Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Crosspointe Christian Academy and Central Christian Academy will face off at 1:00 p.m. on December 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Central Christian Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Horizon Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Herron at 2:30 p.m. on December 23rd. Herron will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 426th, while Horizon Christian is ranked 163rd).
