Morristown-Hamblen West is a perfect 10-0 against Sevier County since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Smoky Bears at 5:30 p.m. Sevier County took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Morristown-Hamblen West, who comes in off a win.

Briony Bunsic spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Kara Dyke and Cadence Beaver did most of the damage at the plate: Dyke went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles, while Beaver scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Those doubles marked the first that Dyke hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylynn Milton, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Morristown-Hamblen West was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Sevier County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 13-3 to Morristown-Hamblen East.
Ashley Morgan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Morristown-Hamblen West is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Sevier County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Morristown-Hamblen West hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318. However, it's not like Sevier County struggles in that department as they've averaged .323. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
