North is 7-2 against West since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The North Saxons will head out on the road to face off against the West Warriors at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North has four straight wins, West has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, North earned a 21-12 victory over Lawndale.
The critical scores for North came from Ben Fonseca, Marquette Carter, and Kingston Anetema.
Meanwhile, West ended up a good deal behind Torrance on Friday and lost 30-13.
North's win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.5 points per game. As for West, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
Everything came up roses for North against West in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 47-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for North since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
