Paoli scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Central, 48-46. At the time, the Bronchos was ranked 23rd in the state, while the Pugs was 42nd.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Paoli, who took down 23rd ranked Central, 48-46. Josiah Gibson ran for 160 yards and caught two passes for 14 yards in the win.
Mark Perry's team's dynamic duo of Mikel Womack and John Repp proved tough for Vince Fulks's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Womack threw for 149 yards and one touchdown and Repp had 79 yards receiving. Kevin Harris helped Central's passing attack out by catching two balls for 71 yards.
Hunter Downs was the most productive running back in B District 2 (8 Man) this week. In 24 carries, he ran for 350 yards as Cyril lost to the Pugs. Teammate Jeffrey Williams added to the ground attack by rushing for 46 yards.
5-foot-8 quarterback Conner Johnson of Allen is the league leader in passing yards this season with 508. He has also thrown four touchdowns. On the ground, Central's Harris has rushed for 735 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Downs. The Cyril star has 15 catches for 325 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Fox takes on Paoli. At the moment, the Foxes are in first, while the Pugs are in fourth.
Paoli's Aaron Webster rumbled for the longest rushing play in B District 2 (8 Man) this season in his game against the Bronchos last week. Webster scampered for 88 yards on the play and finished with 133 on the day as his team defeated Central.
